The most obvious consequences are that the baby will not receive adequate support, either financially or emotionally from someone who can not work and has not matured emotionally. These babies have a role model that didn't care enough to finish their education, didn't care about things like STDs, and who have well more than likely been living off the government as statistics show.


Often times these children suffer severe emotional problems and are sued as pawns of a teenagers childish games. Their mothers often feel burdened by these children since they never had a chance to go out and do normal teenage and early adulthood things such as partying. The child feels this resentment.


These children also suffer often from neglect as their parent hasn't matured enough to recognize the need for good nutrition, dental and health care, and are usually left in the hands of any person they can get to watch them while they go out, regardless of whether that person is trustworthy or not.


Simply put, a teenager is not equipped, by any means to care for a baby.What is the negative consequences of teenage pregnancy?
there are emotional, financial, and physical negative consequences for teenage pregnancy. both parents of the baby are legally respnsible for providing care and financial support until the child is 18. many teens do in fact get help from families and friends while some are unwilling or unable to help. many teen mothers fall into poverty. usually court is involved. your education may also suffer. pregnancy as a teen forces you to make decisions about the future that you arent ready to make. teen mothers often feel isolated, stressed and lonely. they often worry and feel upset when the father abandons them. also, being a teen mother may have an affect on the baby. causing low birth weight, health conditions and premature. which will lead to more financial situations. also, it can cause you to have medical problems as well.
Your parents end up raising your child because as a teen you are likely not mentally or financially ready to support a child, the likelyhood of you finishing high school are small, and even less teen moms actually go to college, without an education you're probably not going to end up with a great job, you'll miss out on your childhood, there are medical risks associated with teen pregnancy, the children of teen parents often end up repeating the cycle later in life...did you want me to keep going?
A teenage girl could get pregnant with a boy who she loves and thinks he loves her too. Once she finds out she's pregnant he freaks out and bails. He tells his parents that you are crazy and that there is no way that baby is his. His parents believe him. You are suddenly a crazy ho.





Your parents find out that you are pregnant and freak out. They tell you that they will not support you and your baby. You have to move out and support yourself. That means that you'll have to drop out of high school and take a minimum wage job.





Because you only make minimum wage, you end up having to get Medicaid and other government assistance. Rich people hate you because you are ';abusing'; the system and it is their tax dollars that is paying for your child. You live in poverty in the bad part of town, because you can't afford anything better.





Because you are working full time and only making just enough to scrape by you don't have time to go to college. You end up having to live in poverty for the rest of your life.





That sounds really harsh to me. /:
Usually it is difficult for the teenager to properly provide for the child. Teenagers (especially younger ones) often are not as prepared for a child as they could be in terms of maturity. There is also the almost certain guarantee of being a one parent family.





However, if these seem troubling, they cannot excuse an abortion.

Having to grow up too soon


Lack of financial resources


Selfishness harming the child (most parents have to sacrifice for their child and Teens getting their first taste of freedom and life have a hard time giving up partying, etc...to care for a child)
*it would be hard to go to school and raise the baby at the same time





*most people will think your a slut





*you wont be able to just enjoy life





*most teenagers cant afford babies





thats just some of the reasons, if ur thinking about it just wait till ur older

better question, what can you find positive about it? cause sorry there aren't too many good things that can come about as a result of a teenage pregnancy.
EVERYTHING IS MUCH HARDER THEN IF YOU WERE IN UR 20'S AND PREGNANT....STATS SHOW THAT MOST TEEN MOMS DON'T FINISH SCHOOL...ETC
Oh my God the list of NEGATIVE consequences for teen pregnancy is SO long... I honestly don't know how you can't come up with plenty of them on your own!
