How hard is it to be a teenage single parent?

i just turned 18yrs 6 days ago and might be pregnate...a good chance, and i dont talk to the guy anymore and i know 100% he doesnt want to be involved

%26gt;is it harded to find a new boyfriend like after the baby? How hard is it to be a teenage single parent?
I'm sorry, but if you are pregnant you shouldn't be concerned about finding another boyfriend. You should be more concerned for your baby and how you are going to take care of it. It's too bad that your boyfriend now doesn't want anything to do with a baby.. He will be missing out on a lot and will still have to pay. When he doesn't, he will go to jail. And yes, it IS hard to be a teenage mother. I'm not, but I am a 26 year old married woman with a 16 month old girl, and if it's hard for me, then it's going to be really hard for you.How hard is it to be a teenage single parent?
no sweetie there are lots of good men out there that marry a mother with kids. You could almost say it's normal now, best wishes and good luck
For me it wsn't hard at all. I'm 16, I had my baby 5 months ago one week after my b-day. Thankfully the baby's father was really happy when I told him he was going to be a father. Whe moved in together right away. We have been living together now for more than a year. We have been really happy and we've never had an argumen. I really love him and my child and I'm so lucky to have them. U can have ur baby by yourself, u don't need him. Maybe later in life u maight find someone who cares for u and ur baby. I wish u good luck!!
Its not up to him to decide to be uninvolved, you will need child support from him, he may not have much now, but possibly in the future there may be a reason to make certain he is legally known as the father, not to mention the child has a right to know who its father is, you can't just not care about the dad anymore and figure you child won't either, I've never seen that happen. Its very difficult to raise a child with two parents, let alone one who has to support and care for an infant, you can always ask for help from your parents, but imposing on them for long periods of time is just immature and irresponsible.

You will find yourself worrying more about trying to get enough sleep and caring and paying for a baby than whether or not you have a boyfriend, in fact the fact that you are worried about your love life indicates you don't have a good handle on how time consuming infants are.

He doesn't want to be involved, but he is. You don't want to be involved either from the sound of it but you are, please consider all your options with a qualified person before you make up your mind as to what you choose to do.

Babies are not easy when you are alone.
It's hard bringing up a child even as a couple, and I'm 25! It will be hard but a child is worth all of the hardship. You may find it difficult to find a new boyfriend as a lot of boys your age aren't ready to become ';dads';, even though that won't be what you're after straight away. The right one for you will look after you and your baby regardless of the fact that he's not the father.
I had my little boy 2 days before my 18th birthday (best b-day prezzie ever!) My b/f, the baby's dad, decided he didn't want to know when I was 6 months pregnant.

I'm not going to kid you and say it's easy, coz it's not, but with help from family and friends, I coped and I can't imagine my life without my little boy now!!

It is harder to find a b/f, I suppose, but when you do, if he accepts you and your child, he's the right kind of man!! It took me 3 years after I had my son to get into a serious relationship. He's the most amazing man, I've been with him 2 years now, and we're expecting a baby girl together in April (I'm 31 weeks).

Good luck, and just to let you know, a lot of us have been through it, and it is the most amazing, tiring, wonderful and stressful time of your life, but when you look back, you'll know you wouldn't change a thing!

:-)
I can't really relate to this, but it seems pretty hard.
You should be more concerned about the baby then finding a new boyfriend. Get a home pregnacy test and find out for sure. Your going to be to busy to worry about a new man anyway. Being a mom at any age is hard I had my first at 16 almost 17 but the father and I are still together/married 10 years now so I cant help with the finding a new boyfriend. But I would suggest being up front about having a child so you weed out the complete losers before getting involved.

Good Luck!
No, it's not that hard to find a boyfriend. The hard part is finding one who actually really loves and accepts your child and who will treat it as his own.
i had my baby at 16 my baby is now 5 yrs old and i m now dating a wonderful man.... so it all depends on that person.... just make sure you becareful who you bring around your child
Single mother at 17. I am now 29 and honestly it will be the hardest thing you have ever done. It is not hard to date when you have child but to be fair to your child you cannot parade guys in and out of their life, it is wrong and confusing. So even though you can date it is still hard. You should be asking how hard is it finish college as a single mother, because that is the deal breaker. That will determine if you have 5-6 years that are hard or 18. It is hard to raise a child with no college degree, I know. It is hard for my family to raise our children and we have 2 incomes.
It is very hard when you do not have a good support team. I was you when I had my first child but my family stood behind me because I did not know what I was doing. There are not a lot of teenage boys that are willing to help a girl out with her baby but there are some that will help you because they are just a nice human being.
Oh my - you have NO IDEA what you are in store for! I too became pregnant shortly after my 18th birthday. My son will be 14 years old the end of this month. I married his father then divorced him 4 years later. His father was never home so I felt like a single parent; however I didn't have to work. I hope you have a huge support system with family and friends that you can truly trust! Friends at your age will slowly disappear the further along you get. This is the time you really need to really think hard about your decisions. It is possible but your dreams will be put on hold for a very long time!
I have a friend that is a single mom, well, not single anymore, she has NO problem getting dates, actually, the boyfriend she has now is more mature because he is also trying to be a father figure for her daughter. Having a child will more than likely attract a more mature boyfriend.

Good luck!
sometimes it is, sometimes its not. depends on the people you live around. everyones different
it's VERY difficult. you shouldn't be worried about finding a boyfriend, just about how you are going to take care of a baby and yourself.
First off, its only as hard as you make it. I'm sure you will have some days that seem harder than others. My best friend is 16 and has a daughter. She isnt with the baby's father anymore and she's doing fine. If you have a great support system things will be okay. I am 22 and had my son two months ago although I'm married I still have some hard days. Its natural. As for finding someone else I'm sure you will. If you need anyone to talk to I'm here!!!
My best friend was in this possition.....

I watched as she sat on the sidelines....no dates, and limited

free time, hard time finding work and she couldn't live the way she wanted on welfare...

She didn't have the experience to handle a baby

It was a horror and a really rough life she let herself in for.

and the baby her son resented her because of the situation.
It is hard ...NOW you have a good chance to grow.

I hope the best for you.
Not really, but please be careful about who you bring around your child. I was 20 when i was a single parent, a lil bit older but still young. I loved it. I got to have my baby all to myself and i loved the way she looked at me. I felt needed and loved. I divorced her father when i was 5 month preg. i was 19 at the time. He was abusive and i truly believe she saved my life b/c if i wasnt pregnant with her i would have stayed but i knew that she would be happier with just me, safer. I moved back home with my mom and dad and i was blessed that they were so helpful and understanding. My brother in law stepped up and was a father figure for my lil girl and my sister is the best auntie in the world! I enrolled in college and got my life together and met my now husband. We got married when i was 22 and he was 21. He loves my lil girl like she was his own and we are expecting baby # 2 in oct. Get you straight first and trust me God will send you the right person. Till then enjoy having your baby all to yourself, they really do grow up soooo fast!
well, it'll definitely be harder to find a boyfriend...and I would assume that it is very difficult to be a teenage single parent in general.
You have your work more than cut out for you if you are pregnant! You better worry about getting a job and, obviously, finishing school since you can't even spell at that age. I don't want to have to pay more out of my paycheck to taxes for more welfare, so GET A JOB and take care of yourself!!! Another guy to get you pregnant later on is the least of your worries.
Oh sweetie, I'm a single parent myself. I got pregnant at 18yrs old and had my daughter at 19yrs old. I had to grow up real fast, but looking back on it now, it was all worth it. I'm not going to say it'll be easy by any means...because it's not. You'll have your family behind you all the way. And after the baby, you'll have no problem in finding a boyfriend. You'll eventually find someone that loves you and that baby like there wasn't another person on the planet. Don't worry...you'll be fine!
No it won't be hard to find a boyfriend while you're pregnant because they know they can have unprotected sex with you. Then watch them run after the child is born most males not all but most don't want to raise or have anything to do with another males offspring.
After you have the baby you won't worry so much about finding a new boyfriend. That will no longer be the most important thing to you. It is tough. I had my son when I was 19. I just did what I had to do. I grew up and got a job so I could feed him. It is a lot easier with the support of your friends and family though.
I got pregnant at 16 and the guy just ditched me... go figure... I kept my daughter for the first three months and then I realized she deserved a better chance at life then what I can give her, so I put her up for adoption. It is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. I'm 19 now and yes, I have a bf who is supporting and loving and always asks about my daughter's well being. Good luck sweetie, and If you need someone to talk to- just email me.
I was a teenage mom, and yes, it is hard. I had a good support system (my mom, my grandmother, the baby's father, and his family), and it was still hard. It can be done though. You just have to work extra hard to achieve what you want in life, and don't let anyone tell you that your life is over because you have a child.

As far as looking for a new boyfriend, you will definately be able to find a new boyfriend after having a baby, HOWEVER, that shouldn't be your focus right now. Focus on giving you and your child a good life, and the ';boyfriend'; will come later.
not at all you are on track to find new
It may not be very difficult to find a boyfriend.

But it will be much more difficult to form a family, to find a guy who will fully accept your baby. I was 20 when my son was born, and I remember how much I still wanted to do things for myself, when I had to spend all my time caring for the baby. When I had my daughter at 31, it was different, she got much more of my time and attention. Just a thought....
Being a teenage parent is EXTREMELY hard, i got pregnant at 16 and had to finish high school still, The dad is no where to be found and i work two jobs(1 full and 1 part ) and go to school full time. i have no time to do anything. but i have my parents there and my friends they help me when i cant pick my little one up from daycare. it took me about two years to find a new man. Now we are getting married in Aug. but trust me you will and he will love your child as much as he loves you. There will be times where you will be talking to a guy and you will tell them that you have a child and they will turn around and walk away. don't let it get you down. Just remember that there is someone better for you.
im not going to lie yes it is realy hard but it worth every bit of it and if the dad don,t want any thing to do with it thats his lost not urs it is harder to find a new boy friend but also some times its not just look in the right place make shore he is a good guy

My teenage daughter has been drawing an X in black marker on her hand. Does anyone know what it means?

I'm very worried. My teenage daughter has been drawing an X in black marker on her hand. Does anyone know what it means?
ask! you're the momMy teenage daughter has been drawing an X in black marker on her hand. Does anyone know what it means?
yah, an X is typically the symbol for being ';straight edge';

straight edge means you're not into sex, drugs, or alcohol
it could be to signify that she's part of generation X... thats all i can think of.
More than likely, she's been to a club that marks minor's hands with an ';X';. They usually use a permanent marker so that the minor can't just go wash it off in the bathroom and then go to the bar %26amp; order drinks.
a) it could, like everyone else says, mean straight edge, which is a very good thing to be. They're virgins, don't drink or do drugs, etc. and I'd be proud of you're daughter because it means she takes care of herself and her body.

b) it could mean she's emo, so be on the lookout for cuts and scabs, but long sleeves arn't that important, because a lot of people have taken to cutting there necks, chests, and thighs to avoid detection.

c) at my school an X on your hand symbolises you are not on ecstasy, and if you are you have an eXy it means you ARE on ecstasy.

d) here are some more little known reasons:

a mark that indicates ';Wrong answer, Dumba**!'; she might have been really embaressed and drew it on there because of anger like saying The capital of Florida is F and everyone laughing at her.

a letter in a naughty word - most commonly U, C, or K I don't give a fXXX what you think about this fXXXing definition!

a kiss (plural XX or XXX) she might have a boyfriend that drew it on her like I love you XXX

ALSO iused to draw on myself ALL THE TIME when i was younger, it could be she's just bored, and is doodling on her hand, once I took a red sharpie and drew a squiggly line design that covered my whole hand up to my elbow, and my parents were so super worried, but i just couldn't sleep one night, found a sharpie, and just doodled.
it is a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry big possibilaty she is going to clubs.
It's possible it refers to straight edge. It is a culture but in this case they promote being drug free.
in my school, drawing on your hands means either youre emo [very emotional] or bored...in class. if youre really that worried then why don't you just ask her why.
well i kno that some people at my school draw an x over a vein in their hand and it's supposed 2 feel like it's sinking in 2 their skin or something like that. (like pressing down)
Why the hell should you be worried? She is doodling on her hand!! For crying out loud.. She's not into devil worshipping!!! godd... steryotypes suck.
Yes, it means she needs therapy.
it means she doesnt use drugs or have sex(yet)
This could be totally innocent! It could as people said just be boredom or something that links her to a band, friend etc, but it is so good you have noticed and taken it upon yourself to keep an eye on it.

Could you maybe say ';I like that whats it mean darling?'; if you think she will be OK, If you are worried you may upset her just keep a eye on her as you have been.

I REALLY do not want to worry you but I have spoken to girls in the past who drew on their hands etc and this has all been a part of them self harming.

I DO NOT want to be out of line saying this I'm probably being totally stupid as it is probably just one X!

But I just wanted to mention it so you can look out for excessive drawing on the skin, cuts or lots of scabs and always wearing long sleeved clothing to hide away.

These are a few of the signs, obviously I am only talking about what I have spoken to my friends about who have been through this.

I would hate not to mention it too you just incase but I am sure I am way out and it is all totally innocent xxx good luck xxx

http://aproblemshared.myfastforum.org/

IGNORE ME I MAY GO AWAY! HEHE I DIDNT KNOW IT COULD MEAN STRAIGHT EDGE I THINK IM OLD 25 AND LOST THE PLOT! XXX
if there is an s and an e with it and looks like sXe that means straight edge....but I dont know what a single black x means
I am a girl in thee 6th grade and that is used in my school as a gang Mark or to tell that you are goth or emo .
Straight edge:

This is good. No smoking, drinking, drugs, sex, etc. Be glad, and celebrate the X. It means you have less to worry about your child.

JL
it would be easier if u ask her!!!
The 'X' symbol means that your daughter is probably straight edge. Straight edge is a lifestyle within the hardcore punk subculture whose adherents abstain from alcohol, tobacco smoking, and other recreational drug use. The 'X' symbol is basically a mark that people who are straight edge use to show that they are straight edge. There should be nothing to worry about.
ask ur teen what it means

Do you think True Love exists during Teenage years?

Many people think that love only exists when your older, they think that we are just mistaking ';love'; for lust. I know it exists for reasons of what it has done to me over time, and currently, but what do you think?Do you think True Love exists during Teenage years?
Yes, 'cause most of the teens mistakes lust as love. NOT ALL TEENS. There are also mature teens, and they can handle love. They will be sincere. So if their partner is also sincere, there is love and when there is trust, equality and sincerity in a relationship, there true love exists. So think about yourself, if you are thinking more sexually about her, it is lust and if you have some deep feelings for her, it's love.

Good Luck pal!Do you think True Love exists during Teenage years?
love can exist during teenage years it all deends on the girl and how the relationship is.

teenage love is cool
YES, i definitely do.

i think that back in the day when we would only live until we were about 35 we used to be searching for a life partner right about now. so what would be the difference now??
I think love can happen in your teenage years. everyone knows when they feel like they love someone, you don't have to be a certain age to know how you feel.
totally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why the hell not!!
17 and up, maybe..
hell yeah

teenage love rockz
of course YES

Can teenage parents receive TANF for themselves and the child?

The commercial where the mom convinces the kid to clean up his smelly *** room, and at the end he says '; it helps me to concentrate'; Why does that kids voice sound so weird? Do you think it is a voice over? The teenage guy from the febreeze commercial?
He say ';it help the concentrate'; because the liquid sauce is from concentrate like yoor favorite orange jooce (jewce).

Has anyone got any ideas for a teenage party?

It's my 13th birthday. I've sent out all the invites my theme is Hippies and Emos; all my friends have to come dressed as either a hippy or an emo. But I don't know what to actually DO at the party. I might do a treasure hunt type thing where all my mates have to find one of each ';drug'; (probably just a different coloured piece of paper) but I have no other ideas. Please help, all ideas welcome.Has anyone got any ideas for a teenage party?
I guess as you're 13 you do whatever you find fun.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the Question title was ';Have a rave.';

Just listen to some music and have fun. Go out to see a movie, go to town and spend everything you have.

I don't see a birthday anything different from any other day except you get spoiled on that day.Has anyone got any ideas for a teenage party?
You can make loads of virgin cocktails!
Have A Battle between the hippies and emos. like have them come up with a fance off and film it, then play it again and have 1 or 2 judges :) pick me! :DD
Play Guitar hero
Sit together and watch a scary movie, thats what i done =]

  • Why do you think there are high teenage pregnancy rates?

Basically, what is causing these high rates? What is causing all of the teens to have sex and become pregnant? Also how do you view teenage pregnancy? Do you feel that we, as a society, should be doing something to combat this, and if so what? Why do you think there are high teenage pregnancy rates?
Dear Sister, you have asked a very accurate question. The thing is that as compared to the past, viewing of pornographic videos and magazines has shot up eversince the dawn of the satellite era of television. A lot of chat shows on television have seemed to justify concepts like';IF YOU A GREAT BODY FLAUNT IT';. There has been an increase in fashion shows on television which surprisingly show young girls doing a ramp just in their BARE ESSENTIALS. All these factors have contributed towards raising the libido of the new generation to a point where ONE NIGHT STANDS have become an in-thing among youngsters today. Even those companies manufacturing condoms are advertising it from the youngsters point of view thus making pre-marital sex seem easy. Undoubtedly sex is a basic necessity of human beings but one should understand that sex is one of the many needs of a human being and not life. It is high time that the new generation learns to life with right values and not buy into the hype created by the merciless media and unethical businessmen. Why do you think there are high teenage pregnancy rates?
Hmm... this is just my opinion....

Ok, whats causing these high rates? Girls and guys not knowing how to keep their legs shut. There was a girl in my class a few years back, she has JUST turned 16 and was pregnant, for the SECOND time! Come on!

What causes them to have sex and become pregnant? They don't know how to say no.

(My view above is mainly with the girls from my school. I knwo many teenage girls who are not like that above at all, but many I know are. I just wanted to vent a bit because that just bugs me.)

I view teenage pregnancy as a problem. Kids are robbed of their childhood because of one mistake they made. They just wanted that one night of fun, but it turned into hundreds of sleepless nights, TONS of dirty diapers and many headaches and migranes.

Society can make a HUGE difference. For example, if people would stop making such a big deal about Jamie Spears, people who want attention wouldn't think to get pregnant to get that attention. People wouldn't say ';Its okay, that Spears girl is pregnant.'; Also, if commercials would stop being so sexually oriented, I think there would be less of a problem. Or if people would stop targeting kids when it came to alcohol and stuff like that.
lack of education. we should be educating these kids in safe sex. if they knew more about disease, pregnancy, and birth control there would be a lot fewer pregnant teens. also, they should be able to get birth control without parental consent. so many parents don't want their kids to know about birth control, but their kids are having sex anyway.
more kids are havng sex at a yunger age without knowing it can cause babys.

alot of this is caused bay a breakdown in parents involvement with their kids, they had em and send em out to let the world educate or kill em.

cold hard facts but true. kids so uninformed they eat poision cause its gotta picture of pirate on the can.

its a miracle we made it thru the 60s and 70s with out all the warnings on products?
    Well, I think we should fight against it because of the curiosity that young people have and so many teens are dropping out because of children. More education on gender differences as well as safe sex education will help with this. It's like telling a child not to throw a rock into a window without mentioning the consequences. Let's say you have a son and your son picks up a rock and motions like he is going to throw it at a window. If you just say, ';Son, don't' throw that rock into the window'; and leave it, he's probably just going to do it anyway or will do it later to see what will happen, but if you say, ';Son, if you throw that rock into the window, the people in that house are going to be mad and I will have to pay a lot of money for their window..money that I could be using to buy you ';inserttoyhere'; for Christmas/your birthday!';
From my experience, teens have no facts to work with. There are questions on here about sperm dying the minute it touches the air, or how can I make my breasts grow, what is a menstrual cycle, what does birth control do, can I get pregnant if the rubber breaks.....?????? Teens need facts, answers so they can make an informed decision about needing to see a doctor, or if what's happening to their bodies is normal. They know so very little that they discuss things with their friends who don't know any more than what they do, so they guess. Many living in terror. It's really sad. Most sex ed. in school is just don't have sex.

    peace

Parents: How would you react if your teenage daughter told you she was pregnant?

or your teenage son had gotten someone pregnant?Parents: How would you react if your teenage daughter told you she was pregnant?
I was on the other end of that, I was a teenage father. Her Dad sat me down told me the news and then simply asked me if I was going to own up to my responsabilitys and help rase a kid. I did and now Im a grandfather. My douhter is 26 and just had twins.

First forget whos toblame for get any thing but What to do now. Some people say talk it out and help them make an informed dision, Hog wash, if thay where able to make anything near one of thoes she would not be pregnant. You are the parent you pay the bills your the one people will be shaking the head at and Heck, YOU made her so Look at it from a standpoint of Can you aford it, If thay help can you? Is either able to emotionaly or Mently grasp the concept of being a parent? It is not up to them unless thay are emansapated moved out and paying for it. Sorry Im not a soft touch but I hope you get the meaning Im trying to give. At there age,, ';No Brain, No effect';. So think for them. Contackt the other parents to, make sure thay know there son is out making kids and make them heft there shair of the responsability,, and get there shair of the shamed looks and shaking heads.

My best to you all in this and I hope the outcome is as good as ours. We BTW got lucky.Parents: How would you react if your teenage daughter told you she was pregnant?
    I'd demand, ';What part of take your pill and use a condom DIDN'T you understand???';

Then I'd regroup, and ask the kids what they planned to do. If they were keeping it, I'd figure out how my family was going to raise a baby (if it was my daughter) or make sure that he was an involved parent (if it was my son).
My first reaction would be shocked %26amp; scared, for about five minutes. Then, I'd want to support the two teens in the best way I could, for the good of all concerned. That would differ, according to the whole situation, of course.
I would tell my child that I was there for them. I would help raise the baby, but would also make sure they do their part. People make mistakes, but at their age you have to continue to teach them and let them grow and learn from their mistakes!
    I'd ask myself........

    WHERE DID I GO WRONG?

Then I'd find out where I blew it and see if there's a solution.
My parents cryed alot, and were very upset.

My teenage daughter continually vocalizes in loud noises and innappropiate outburts.?

It has gotten to the point of huge family fights. What can we do?My teenage daughter continually vocalizes in loud noises and innappropiate outburts.?
Whack dat azz. The loud outbursts are intimidating behavior that imply there could be violence to follow if you do not consider her issue. You should beat her to the point, literally. Let her call family services and then you tell them your side of the story. They don't have time for bullsh!t like that. The problem is teenagers today don't think we'll do it. Slap her in the face. That's right THE FACE! That is the part that is causing all the trouble. If she won't shut it down then YOU call family services and threaten her with having her placed elsewhere. She is already a teenager so time is short pal. You have to get this chick under control before she runs over you like a Mack Truck. Good luck!My teenage daughter continually vocalizes in loud noises and innappropiate outburts.?
    it sounds like tourettes syndrome
Take her to the doctor. She may have tourets syndrome or she a spoiled brat and needs a time out.
Get her in to see her physician as soon as possible. This could be caused by any number of medical conditions as well as several psychiatric ones.
Assuming she is not mentally impaired in some way or autistic, then make the punishment fit the crime. SHe has to learn now that every action she choses to perform has a reaction and by committing the action she has chosen the reaction. Simply send her to her room..do not argue about it or discuss it with her. Each and every time just tell her she made her choice and go. Tell her that 5 year old children can be taught how to behave via this type of discipline and you are certain at her age and her mental ability there is still hope for her yet.
    Touretts dude.
do you think something is medically wrong with her? If so take her to the doctor.

Would teenage guys date a girl with pretty face but skinny, flat body?

I do not have curves, but i have a pretty face. It seems like guys in high school only care about girls with nice bodies.Would teenage guys date a girl with pretty face but skinny, flat body?
well i'm a senior in high school and pretty introverted and this is exactly the type of girl I would marry or want as a long term girlfriend...

cute/beautiful face with slim non-busty body and introverted personality

but as for most teens looking for a short term relationship yes they want the hot bodyWould teenage guys date a girl with pretty face but skinny, flat body?
The NICE guys will :) To be honest I truly think being 'flat' is a blessing because then the men that are interested in you are into you for who you really are, not just your body. And having a pretty face draws them in.

    Remember: inner beauty :)
its not the bod, it's the hole. they will date u, if u let them into it.

Should teenage guys highlight their hair?

I am 17 and I have been begging my mom to highlight my hair for me (she is a cosmotologist). She says that it will look gay on me, but I think that something subtle will just be cute. Should I do it? If so, how do I convince her to do it when she has refused several times in the past?Should teenage guys highlight their hair?
you need to experiment with your looks to find something that will suit you and give you confidence.

having highlights in your hair, will not necessarily make you look gay, she jus assumes these things, and can probably think of a stereotypical image.

you could always say, you're jus experimenting with your hair to see what looks best and makes you feel good about yourself??

    mum's do come round.

xShould teenage guys highlight their hair?
yeah don't bother, you probably won't convince her and you'll probably end up looking dumb even if you do.
I had mine Bleached for Our State soccer tournament for High school, I cut it and some blonde was left on the top, i absolutley hated it, i looked like a fag... the guys bleaching their hair was cool about 5 years ago, but not anymore.... you along with probably every guy in america would look gay
Don't do it. Believe me. I survived the fashions of the 1970's. Unfortunately, so did my high school graduation photograph.
GO FOR IT!!!! go for a light shade of blonde, tht always looks hot on dudes and just tell her ur matrue enuff for it...i mean ur 17 for crying out loud
if you want to do it, do it
only gays and girls do that dont highlight your hair
Just dye it one basic color like blond or black....unless you have like all kinds of percings and stuff then dye your black and get red high lights that would be cool...but i'm too scared to do it...remember one color...or go for an amy winehouse (beehive)
    Make It Look Natural.
why not? i know straight guys that do
    not anymore....
You probably won't convince her to change her mind. You've tried several times already. It hasn't worked.

On the positive side, in just one year you'll be 18. Soon, you no longer have to concern yourself with Mom's permission for things like this.

Bottom line - as long as you live under Mom's roof, listen to what she says. When you are on your own, you can make your own decisions about your hair and how you choose to style it. And there must be other cosmotologists in town besides her!
Maybe she knows what she is talking about since she is in the trade. Normally I think teen styles that don't hurt you should be allowed by parents, you try it and you get over it. But since your Mom is in a position to know what she is talking about you should listen. If you begin to attract gay guys you may get into a situation that could be very traumatic for you.
    Seriusly, Go for it.

My 13 year old brother gets all the girls, and has subtle blonde highlights in his light brown hair.

Since his hair is light to begin with, blonde is fine.

If you're hair is dark, stay away from blonde and go wiht a caramel color, or just a light brown!

    Tell her you're almost 18.

    Almost an adult.

If she won't do it for you, when you hit 18 you're just gonna blow your own money and get it done by a stylist anyhow.

So she can either do you a favor and do it for you, or there's the other way.

Either way, you'll look HOT, not the least bit gay!!
    go for it

its fairly easy to highlight your own hair

    i did it before

have a friend do it for you if you can
you can but some people might think it looks gay but its what you want

just do it yourself or have a friend do it
    depends what color

it could look gay...your mom should know
First of all people can't look gay, they just are. But I do agree with you if it subtle and a cute style to go along with it then go for it. Other than that the rest is all up to you if want to look like a fool or just rock it!!
well honestly i say go for it. Why not there are guy's out there who get their tongue's pierced or their nose pierced(or other areas) It doesn't mean that your gay just because you want to dye or streak your hair. i say go for it why not and don't listen to the negatives that people throw your way. it's your life and your body!!

    Good Luck
lol you mom said that? thats so cuteee

im 14 and i have a guy friend who has naturally darker blonde hair and he puts in lighter blonde higlights. It looks realy great. Although he is bi. but still.
i am seventeen as well, i highlight my hair once a month... i am also a girl :)
it depends on your hair type most of the time it looks gay. i would trust your mom on this one.
ur 17 n yae huv tae beg yer ma tae highlight yer hair

ehm joost get ur telt heer ma get ma hair dne tis snoo
well dnt bleach it cuz thats gay

    just put a couple
    I don't think you should.

Respect your mother and honestly wait alittle while the urge may leave you. Why are you not happy with what you have?

If you are 17 you have less than a year to wait - I think you should

Despite what people think physical impressions are lasting with regard to school and work.

I am old but really we were all young once too
    natural is better den fake
Dude don't do it. That is the most flamboyant thing ever.
    don't do it please.

you will look gay trust me.

i hate when guys get highlights.

    DON'T DO IT!
I hate when guys do that, thats just my opinion though
gay..but it also depends on what color highlights.
if u spike your hair then it dont look gay.. if not it lookes gay

  • How come British mothers nurse their children excessively long, in some cases into teenage years.?

Little Britain is a comedy show, and does not reflect reality.

I suspect you've been watching too many ';biddy'; sketches. How come British mothers nurse their children excessively long, in some cases into teenage years.?
i know what show your talking about this one mom has an 8 year old daughter and she was still breastfeeding her my saying is if it has teeth they shouldnt be coming at your tit for food i know what show you mena though that is too disgusting breastfeeding kids that are old enough to eat real food and your poppin your boob out and lettin them sit in your lap like a big newbornin ewww if your gonna breast feed the recamindation is a year after that quit poppin the boob out i think that could real screw a kid up by the time they get olderHow come British mothers nurse their children excessively long, in some cases into teenage years.?
I think those cases are pretty rare. Nursing is on the rise again in a lot of countries, but is usually shorter in developed countries than non-developed countries that might not have access to formula or other foods that are good to feed to a young baby.
    Teenage years!

I think the longest I have seen is 8

It is not just British women, many countries encourage breastfeeding, North America is terrible for not advocating breastfeeding
I have never heard of anyone in their teenage years being breastfed...but I do remember hearing of a mom breastfeeding her 8 year old. Personally I think that is disgusting. After 1 or 2 years I think is more then enough.
    I've never heard of that...
    Can you cite your sources?
hmmm. idn ive never heard of that.

How does it feel being a teenage mother? was birth and labor scary?

If you are or were a teen when giving birth tell me , were you scared going into labor and giving birth? how did you give birth ? vainally or cesarean? were you excited or feel like you were dying? How hard was it taking care of the baby after birth? What was going through your mind when your water broke and you started having contractions? How does it feel being a teenage mother? was birth and labor scary?
I became a mother at the age of 15. I wasn't really that scared b/c I had a ton of support on both sides. I also went to the doctor regularly so I kind of knew what to expect. I delivered my daughter vaginally. My water never broke on its own, they broke my bag of waters to make my labor progress. No matter what age you are when you have a child, it's always hard taking care of a baby. (Now, I have 3 children and I'm 23.)How does it feel being a teenage mother? was birth and labor scary?
Of course its painful and scary. I Have never had one but imagine a big orange coming through that litle hole down there

I am 18 and I have a 4 month old son. Having support throughout labor and beyond is the most valuable thing you can bring with you to the hospital. You will surprise yourself at how brave you can be. Just tell yourself that there is absolutely nothing you can do about giving birth--it's going to happen whether you like it or not, so why worry? I had chronic panic attacks for years, so when I got pregnant I thought I would die. When I got to the hospital (they had to induce my labor after 40 weeks...egh...) I was in labor for a total of 16 hours--I pushed for 3 hours. I could have done it without the epidural if I hadn't had to be attached to the bed (I had Strep B and they had to keep me on antibiotics). The birthing ball was wonderful. I did not panic. Contractions hurt in the same place you get period cramps, but it's a lot more intense. You will probably cry. You will say not-so-nice things to the nurses or your support, but it's their job to put up with you. Breathe and know you can do it. After the baby is born, accept all help. You will feel like crap especially if you have a cesarean (I didn't and it took me 4 weeks before it didn't hurt to cough). Your baby will smile at you and need you and you will be too full of yourself to notice.
it was kind of nervous going into laobr cuz of all the horror stories other mommies like to share so freely, but it ended up being not so scary.i delivered my son when i was 17 vaginally, i think the biggest think w/ labor is how tiring it can be but they can offer differnt meds to help you rest or for pain,i didnt have the epidural though so i didnt rest to much but it wasnt all that bad the dr had to break my waterand i was in labor for about 19 hours in the hosp. and only pushed for 1/2 an hour you cant even remember much afterwards mainly the begining and close to the end and when you have your baby in your arms, good luck and enjoy your bundle of joy and many more emotions to come

I'm looking for the name of a book written by a British teenage author in the 1970's?

The author in question was male and as I remember was the son of a famous Jazz musician. The book was set in England and told the story of a boy who discovers a secret society made up of his fellow pupils who are plotting to take over his school. The secret society is being run by a girl who goes by the code name of Mistress K and part of the story involved them secretly re-enforcing the roofs of the school buildings to allow helicopters to land. I reckon it was published between 1976 and 1982 so if anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.I'm looking for the name of a book written by a British teenage author in the 1970's?

What is the negative consequences of teenage pregnancy?

plz plz could some tell me that...i really need this question answer...i'll thankfull for youWhat is the negative consequences of teenage pregnancy?
The most obvious consequences are that the baby will not receive adequate support, either financially or emotionally from someone who can not work and has not matured emotionally. These babies have a role model that didn't care enough to finish their education, didn't care about things like STDs, and who have well more than likely been living off the government as statistics show.

Often times these children suffer severe emotional problems and are sued as pawns of a teenagers childish games. Their mothers often feel burdened by these children since they never had a chance to go out and do normal teenage and early adulthood things such as partying. The child feels this resentment.

These children also suffer often from neglect as their parent hasn't matured enough to recognize the need for good nutrition, dental and health care, and are usually left in the hands of any person they can get to watch them while they go out, regardless of whether that person is trustworthy or not.

Simply put, a teenager is not equipped, by any means to care for a baby. What is the negative consequences of teenage pregnancy?
there are emotional, financial, and physical negative consequences for teenage pregnancy. both parents of the baby are legally respnsible for providing care and financial support until the child is 18. many teens do in fact get help from families and friends while some are unwilling or unable to help. many teen mothers fall into poverty. usually court is involved. your education may also suffer. pregnancy as a teen forces you to make decisions about the future that you arent ready to make. teen mothers often feel isolated, stressed and lonely. they often worry and feel upset when the father abandons them. also, being a teen mother may have an affect on the baby. causing low birth weight, health conditions and premature. which will lead to more financial situations. also, it can cause you to have medical problems as well.
Your parents end up raising your child because as a teen you are likely not mentally or financially ready to support a child, the likelyhood of you finishing high school are small, and even less teen moms actually go to college, without an education you're probably not going to end up with a great job, you'll miss out on your childhood, there are medical risks associated with teen pregnancy, the children of teen parents often end up repeating the cycle later in life...did you want me to keep going?
A teenage girl could get pregnant with a boy who she loves and thinks he loves her too. Once she finds out she's pregnant he freaks out and bails. He tells his parents that you are crazy and that there is no way that baby is his. His parents believe him. You are suddenly a crazy ho.

Your parents find out that you are pregnant and freak out. They tell you that they will not support you and your baby. You have to move out and support yourself. That means that you'll have to drop out of high school and take a minimum wage job.

Because you only make minimum wage, you end up having to get Medicaid and other government assistance. Rich people hate you because you are ';abusing'; the system and it is their tax dollars that is paying for your child. You live in poverty in the bad part of town, because you can't afford anything better.

Because you are working full time and only making just enough to scrape by you don't have time to go to college. You end up having to live in poverty for the rest of your life.

That sounds really harsh to me. /:
Usually it is difficult for the teenager to properly provide for the child. Teenagers (especially younger ones) often are not as prepared for a child as they could be in terms of maturity. There is also the almost certain guarantee of being a one parent family.

However, if these seem troubling, they cannot excuse an abortion.
    missing out on teen years/experiences

Having to grow up too soon

    Lack of financial resources

Selfishness harming the child (most parents have to sacrifice for their child and Teens getting their first taste of freedom and life have a hard time giving up partying, etc...to care for a child)
*it would be hard to go to school and raise the baby at the same time

*most people will think your a slut

*you wont be able to just enjoy life

    *most teenagers cant afford babies

thats just some of the reasons, if ur thinking about it just wait till ur older
    Oh my gosh...

Read the answers. Then read them again. And again. And again.

Being a mom isn't a walk in the park. It's not a movie, it's real life.
better question, what can you find positive about it? cause sorry there aren't too many good things that can come about as a result of a teenage pregnancy.
EVERYTHING IS MUCH HARDER THEN IF YOU WERE IN UR 20'S AND PREGNANT....STATS SHOW THAT MOST TEEN MOMS DON'T FINISH SCHOOL...ETC
Oh my God the list of NEGATIVE consequences for teen pregnancy is SO long... I honestly don't know how you can't come up with plenty of them on your own!

You can talk, play a game, watch a movie, eat, take a walk....if your that afraid you will get bored do an activity in a public place. Ask her what she likes to do. Plus being with each other in general should not get boring since you are bf/gf....it you really get THAT bored with each other maybe you shouldn't even be dating. Just figure out activities you both like and do them together.Teenage girls what should guys do while you hang out with them?
well...i love movies...um...eating out...and talking..just at a pretty location...taking hikes and stopping once and a while just to have a good time together...make out sessions...and walking around town...looking at stuff..and maybe going to a laser tag...or paint ball place...or go cart...kerr
take off all her clothes... then stick your tongue in her pie-hole.. see how she reacts... this will keep things interesting!
Go to the movies or bowling

    or

hang out and your house or her house and just watch movies go outside do what ever sounds fun

but dont try to do what the first guy said thats just stupid
you can flirt and when u are hanging out and get lip action or just talk and she will get bored.
watch a movie, get something to eat, go for walks and talk 2 each other about any and everything
You need to ask her questions then and before hand to learn what can hold her attn. and keep her mind smiling.
Just do thing you enjoy and her like bowling or go carts movies soccer

Do you know of any 8-10 minute ';tear jerker'; monologues for a teenage girl?

I'm in the forensics club at my school and this year I'm going to participate in the Dramatic Interpretation category. I'm looking for a 8-10 minute monologue, that will really bring my audience to tears.

Do you know of any 8-10 minute ';tear jerker'; monologues for a teenage girl?
Actually I don't have a monologue for you but I'm reading a book called: My Sister's Keeper about a teenage girl who was conceived only to be a stem-cell/bone marrow match etc for her sister who has leukemia. The premise is that she doesn't want to donate anything anymore because it's so painful and never ends. Each chapter tells the point of view of those involved. It's really well written and I'm only near the start and have wanted to cry about 5 times so far! The first chapter is the teenage girls and it's brilliant, but you'd need to edit it to include the premise. Personally I'd be blown away to see it played out and keep picturing the chracter like Juno, if you know that film.Do you know of any 8-10 minute ';tear jerker'; monologues for a teenage girl?
I'm a speechie too!!!!! It is so exciting to meet one of my own! As far as a monologue try ';My Mother's Touch';. A girl on my team did it last year and it might not make people cry but it definitely brings forth great emotions. It is about a girl whose mother hates her a lot!!! Her mother won't even touch her because she never wanted to have her.
8-10 minutes? You might have to check books. But here's one that might work.

Does the bible say anything about teenage dating?

I am in an organization that saysthat we aren't allowed to date. We won't be allowed to date unless we can prove so,me points to our leader that it is okay to date. He wants to know where in the bible does it give qualifications for a girlfriend/boyfriend. he realizes that there are qualifications for a ';help-mate'; but not a gf/bf. anyone have any points i could present?Does the bible say anything about teenage dating?
I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness. This sounds a lot like what they told us as teeneagers. Basically they said you weren't supposed to date until you were ready for marriage. It doesn't really say anything regarding teen dating in the bible. Then again, people got married a lot younger in those days. Anyway, dating isn't really covered in the bible. Only marriage and not to be unevenly yoked and all that... Your ';leader'; is making up rules to try to avert disatster. JW's did it because teenage hormones run crazy and they didn't want anyone doing anything ';immoral.';Does the bible say anything about teenage dating?
No, in the Bible they were arranging marriages just like the people in India do or the people in Africa often do.

For instance, it had already been arranged that Mary and Joseph would marry. I can't think of any dating that was going on. You could pray that God will tell you who is the right one, or that he will tell you what to do.
in the times during which the bible was written, daughters were married off before or around the age of 14.

they also had no say in the matter, as they were considered the property of their family, to be duly traded off to the potential husband for whatever sum.
yea, leave the group for starters...

the bible says we need to have sex so we can give life. but having sex without dating first is prostitution.

    but seriously, leave the group %26gt;.%26lt;
When the Bible was written, there was no such thing as dating.

I would recommend not joining a group that tries to control intimate details of your life like that.
The Bible also doesn't mention if making cupcakes is right or moral. I doubt in the grand scheme of the universe it makes one iota of difference.
As far as I know it is allowed except for Pre-marital thing.........

Nothing is written against it or about it.
i dont think the bible says anything about dating or not dating... just no pre-marital sex.... why not just date anyways and not tell your leader?
No, it doesn't really say anything about teenagers as far as I know.
The bible has all the answers, except the ones we can really use.
No points, just a word of advice: Find new friends.
Yeah, they could marry when they were 12 and older
    Yes, it says ';thou shalt spuff in you pants a the slightest touch!';

Where was Jesus Christ during his teenage?

Why there is no information about Jesus Christ as a teenager?

Where was he? I did read some article about Him being spiritually trained by Great Masters in Himalayas. Is that true?

Please, no sarcastic answers.Where was Jesus Christ during his teenage?
You would actually have to read the Apocrypha is you want those answers. The bible doesn't have the story of Jesus as a whole but the Apocrypha does.Where was Jesus Christ during his teenage?
St. Issa Scroll is another text which is believed to support the theory that Jesus was buried in Kashmir following the crucifixion. The scroll, found in a Buddhist monastery in Hemis, records the travels of a Jewish boy to the East, a fact that some historians, such as Nicholas Notorich believe explains the absence of documentation regarding Jesus鈥?life in the Gospels between the ages of 12 and 30.

Historians who believe that the Kashmir tomb is that in which Jesus is buried, also point to the fact that the parables attributed to Jesus in the Gospels, such as the parable of the Sower, were attributed to Yus Asaph, as found in historical recordings
The reason the Bible doesn't say anything about Jesus' teenage years is because no one would have really believed a teenager. People do not generally put stock in what teenagers have to say.

I do not know where or what He was definately doing.

My personal belief is that He was growing in God. He was learning and preparing Himself for all the things He was going to have to do. Helping people, praying, growing.
The scriptures don't tell us because those years do not matter to thhis work as a Messiah.

As far as him having gone to Tibet, there is no evidence of that. Not only that, but since the gospels were written AFTER he was a grown man and were about his works AFTER he was a grown man, don't you think that some of those teachings would have been evident in his own words?
Highly doubtful that a Jew would go to the Himalayas to be trained by what they consider pagans.

The answer is that the bible doesn't record what Jesus was doing in his late teens. If nothing noteworthy happened, we shouldn't expect it to be recorded for us. We need to know what we need to know.
    Tibet
perhaps.. where can i read this?
Jesus Christ is a myth. He never existed.

What would be the point of getting trained in Tibet if you are the creator of the universe?

Where can I find a cute teenage boy in Washington State? School is a given, give me something new please?

What would you consider a ';normal teenage girl'; to be like?

How would you describe the typical teenage girl? What would you consider a ';normal teenage girl'; to be like?
most would say one that dresses appropiatly gets good grades hangs out with her friends gets along with he family realativly well and has healthy relationships. but that never happens so there is no normWhat would you consider a ';normal teenage girl'; to be like?
hahah.. my sisters name is Brooke...and she is a bit off!!! a totaly hippy!!! but yeah umm there is no norm...sorry. Even if there was...why would anyone want to be normal??? thats boring!!!
American teenage girl or general (from all other countries where they raise them differently) teenage girl? There is a big difference. The general one has a brain.
Ok Te: if you were as smart as you think you are you wouldn't judge a whole country of kids.

I'm 17, I think I'm normal. I can be moody sometimes but not too extreme. I get along w my bros %26amp; sister %26amp; my mom okay. I usually write in text here %26amp; on IM's just because its easier, but I don't write like that for school. I used to be really into dance but I had to stop after my parents got divorced because it cost too much. I love shopping, but the town we just moved to doesn't even have a mall. I want to move in with my grandma in Long Beach and go to college out there with my cousins. I want to study fashion merchandising and then work for a big department store like Macy's or Bloomingdales when I'm older. I have a boyfriend. I sometimes go to church. Um, I don't know what else makes me normal or not.
There is no norm. However, they do all have the same sexual organs.

Is anyone else sick of the teenage girls asking us if they are fat?

    I have noticed four questions (just today) from teenage girls giving their age, height, and weight followed by something to the tune of ';do you think I'm fat?';

This is such a disgraceful obsession, it just sickens me. What do you think? Are you sick of it too?Is anyone else sick of the teenage girls asking us if they are fat?
well im 14, but im not like those girls!

they just dont have a self esteam, and arent confident enough. Is anyone else sick of the teenage girls asking us if they are fat?
i dont get it most of all nobody is gonna tell ummm that there fat its just plain stupid i agree
Just tell them yes... They will quit asking... They are only asking so they can hear people say no...
i cant believe how many teen agers are about their weight i can see them keeping their weight down to their normal weight but i believe it has a lot to do with tv and other girl in their school they should be glad they are normal and it doesn't matter how you look for others just look good for your selves but yes i do get sick of hearing it i have two granddaughter 12 and 11 but they are like teen agers
    I agree.

    It's annoying because:

a.) People's definition of ';fat'; and ';skinny'; are subjective.

b.) Just giving a few body stats really doesn't say much because there are other factors to consider.

c.) It truly doesn't even matter what strangers on the Internet say anyway.

d.) They won't come out of it feeling any better even if everyone says that they're not fat. Their search for approval will never be satisfied from a site like this.
    i'm tired of it.
Yeah... but what can you do!

Body image is a big issue for girls/ women and its something no one can get over!
    yes
Yes and most of the time its skinny girls trying to get people to say ';No youre skinny hun.'; It makes me feel fat just reading it.
LOL..MOST DEFINETELY..AND THEN THEY GIVE US THEIR WEIGHT AND HIEGHT..AND IT'S LIKE, GOODNESS YOU SHOULD BE EATING MORE..LOL..WISH I WAS THEIR SIZE RIGHT ABOUT NOW...BUT IT'S SOCIETY TODAY...ALL THESE ';HOLLYWOOD'; GIRLS ARE LIKE SIZE 00..SO THAT'S WHY TEENAGERS NOW FEEL PRESSURED TO BE SO ';RAIL THIN';.
I'm tired of it, all you hear is blah, blah, blah if they ae so worried then they should ask their doctor or watch what they're eating.
I agree, why cant people be happy for who they are
i think its like nicole richie , lindsay lohan and all these a-list stars which make teenage girls think like this.

it annoys me when they say ti cause my friend said it and she isnt fat like on of the skinnest actaully
yes im sick of it, but i understand that its a phase that pretty much every teenage girl has to go through before they can accept themselves for who they are. i think its our job to be encouraging, or just dont bother reading the questions =0)

Were there any problems?Teenage mothers, what complications if any, did you have while you were pregnany and trying to deliver? (14-17?
I'm 16 years old. %26amp; I got pregnant when I was 15 years old. I'm currently 36 weeks. %26amp; I've gained I say 7 pounds or maybe less my whole pregnancy. I'll be getting induced on the 24th of July which I'll be 38 weeks because my baby's weight .. which is 4lbs %26amp; 1oz. But, I haven't had any compilations just the low weight problem. %26amp;+ They monitor me very well because of that. I go to the doctor twice a week for an ultrasound %26amp; a non-stress test.

Hope that helped if not. You can message or IM me.Teenage mothers, what complications if any, did you have while you were pregnany and trying to deliver? (14-17?
i'm 18 and pregnant with my first. The only complication I have had is that the ends of the placenta are curled. So i have 3 doctors appointment's every week until i give birth just to make sure he is okay in there.

and the complication isn't because i'm a teenager it's just and abnormality that happens to 1%-2% of pregnancies.
Have you seen your doctor yet? Your Dr. will give you prenatal vitamins. Make sure to follow your Dr's instructions, take your vitamins and eat healthy. No smoking, drinking or drugs (I'm not saying that you do these things but added them just in case). Walking and swimming are really good exercise for pregnant women.

I was 15 when I had my daughter and 19 when I had my son. They were both healthy and I was fortunate enough to have quick labor and deliveries with both.
My bag started leaking and I was in and out of the hospital for 2 months and the last time I went in I had to stay there for 3 weeks, My son was born 2 months early,he was only 4 pounds and had to stay in the hospital for 11 days because he had jondous[I don't think I spelled that right]
well i didnt have any problems. i was a month away from turning 18 when i had my son. My son was Very health, big and strong.

Are their any online programs that shows how it is to be a teenage parent?

I've heard there was one that was like a game that you play but I haven't see it and my friend is pregnant and wants to know what it's like. Do they have any sites like this and if not how should I tell her about how it is to be a mom in her teen years? Are their any online programs that shows how it is to be a teenage parent?
Tell your friend to ask her OB/GYN about it, or if they can recommend any classes that she can take. I know that my doctor gave me a list of different classes that were offered at the hospital where I was to be giving birth, and a young parenting class was on that list. Are their any online programs that shows how it is to be a teenage parent?
uhhhh, if you are looking for parenting tips online or from 'like a game that you play' then I think your friend is in serious trouble. Parenting (that is taking care of a HUMAN BEING) is not something that can be learned from the internet, nor is it a game.
you can try planned parenthood. com this should lead you to links.
Not that i can think of..but u can go to your local clinic and most of them have classes of teenage parents to get them ready. Good luck and god bless

  • Whos a good poet who wrote teenage poetry?

im supposed to be doing a report on a poet but i dont know many. do u know any good poets who wrote poems for teenagers?Whos a good poet who wrote teenage poetry?
Robert Frost may be a good oneWhos a good poet who wrote teenage poetry?
Well, it's tough because a lot of poets, even if they're great, tended to have their best stuff later in life; most of these themes, then, would be about time or themes too old for teenagers to really understand. You could consider great teenage poets (Keats died at 17, Coleridge died very young...), but it's probably not the best way.

You know who might actually be a good choice, though? Shakespeare. Some of his sonnets are certainly lovely (Shall I compare thee to a summer's day, etc.), but most of them have themes that would really resonate with a younger audience. Some of them have crude jokes, some are full of sexual tension and confusion, some just reveal the narrator as being very lost and afraid... This may seem like a surprising choice but it would be a really neat way to approach it (it would make people think of Shakespeare differently).

Check out, for example, sonnets 29 (feeling exiled and lost), 147 (confusion in passion/love), and135 (and in this one know that ';will'; is a three-way pun; will as in willpower, Will=William Shakespeare, and then ';will'; at the time meant sexual organs... at the least it will make you laugh :)
nope srry, all i kno is i am a teenage poet, lol

    good luck tho

What should I do about my teenage daughter?

My 14 year old daughter is on holiday with her boyfriend. and a weird smell was coming from her room so I decided to give it a clean and I found a stash of used condoms under her bed. what should I say to her???????What should I do about my teenage daughter?
Condoms? Weird smell? Gross!!What should I do about my teenage daughter?
One thing you have no remember, DON'T SCOLD HER!! Cause if you scold her, higher chance she will not tell you what happened. Just ask her like did she have any problems with her boyfriend then if she said yes, ask her what problems, if she say no, ask her about the condom issue but in a calm voice. Like ';I cleaned your room and found a stash of condoms under your bed, what happened?'; IF she screams at your for privacy, tell her that you are just concern about her losing her pregnant before getting married and if she still refuse to say, tell her the trouble of getting pregnant or something like that
Okay Here is what a 14 year old girl would want you to do (im 14), she would want you to never say anything. But were only 14 and need guidance (that's where you come it) you would either take them out of her room no questions asked and scold her and ground her. Or you could do it at our level and talk to her about it, and say ';honey I found these condoms in your room plese explain to me, are you having sex? If so honey tell me and we can talk about and we need to talk about it. Your to young to be doing these kind of things condoms dont always work, do you want to even want have a chance of getting pregnate?! Enjoy your life right now, your just to young.

thats what my mom would do if i was sexually active.

    hope i helped
First of all your a stupid mom for letting have a boyfriend and letting them go on holiday together your child is only 14 and could get up to a lot of mischeif, you are so stupid to see that, and then you find condoms in her room and is asking us what you must say to her. you are the parent you must know and i don't even think you should be a mother because you are totally careless about how your daughter is carrying on, did you know she could get pregnant? you are flippin nuts lady! you don't know how to bring up a child right!
Tell her you are proud that she uses condoms- give her a handful of them then ask if she's interested in the implant so if one breaks she won't get pregnant. Then tell her to keep using the condoms anyway but next time can you please put them in the bin!

You need to let her know you know but not so she will do it somewhere else that may be unsafe.

There isn't anything you can do but support your daughter in making healthy decisions for herself.
Although she is underage let me say how blessed you are and proud of her you should be! They are mature enough to take precautions! Dont hit the room, it could be much worse!

I would tell her you know and are upset she couldnt come to you with this.

Talk to her about maybe going on the pill as an added precaution.

Although you may be upset she is no longer your little she is clearly sensible and worried about what you will think.

Don't try to ban them form seeing eachother she will rebel. They have their minds made up you are better off knowing she is safe and having her on side.
i am sorry but as you said she is a teenage and teenage people likes to do any thing at this stage that make them fell adult and big, and they like to do what is not allowed for them, in my opinion the best thing is try to sort it out quitely and make your self close friend with her and then give her right advice. good luck.
Don't accuse her, try to be cool about it has it will alienate her if you are all stressed. Just casually ask her if shes been having sex. Don't say you found the condoms, she will feel violated %26amp; won't trust you.
i think when just you 2 are at home sit down and talk about it tell her you found them and your not angry but you want to take her to the doctors to get a better controception you dont want her pregnant just talk to her
You are only 13 so you cannot have a 14-year-old daughter. If you were a mom then you would know that a teen would never leave used condoms under the bed.
Don't say anything to her, it's her business, leave her to it. At least she's being safe. And they wouldn't smell anyway, troll.
just read your other questions.. you have a daughter whos one year older than you?

    be smarter next time, troll.
    http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind…

troll much? next time hide your questions
If you feel you need to confront her about it do it because she needs to be protected from pregnancy.
Nothing, it's her own responsibilty. At least she's using the condoms.
Please dont snoop around and eww y would she keep them under her bed.and be glad shes using protection!
Hold on, your ';daughter'; is a year older than you. Doesn't work my dear!
Say nothing, stop going through her personal things.
Your not a very smart troll.
strange how in your first question u asked you was only 13 yourself......
I agree with the other person. It's her choice, she will tell you if she wants to
    say nothing, quit snooping around.
just be glad she is using condoms!
    PinHead has a point ^^
    talk to her... duh!!!!!!!!!
troll. one of your other questions was ';how to flirt with a boy';. if u have a kid u know how. TROLL
She's fourteen, way too young to be having sex. She isn't mature enough for that whether or not she wants to admit it. She'll regret it when she gets older. Actually, I read somewhere that most people that have sex before they're eighteen do regret it. Talk to her about it, sex is an obvious smell, so don't mention anything you found in her room. You'll lose her trust. However, if she is a stubborn brat, she'll go behind your back anyway and have sex. Make sure that if she still chooses to after you talk to her, that she is taking the correct precautions. Tell her you don't approve and other things about sex that she probably doesn't know already. I'm thirteen and I tell my grandmother certain things (risks and such, nothing weird.) that she never knew about it. Also, that it can be dangerous, but you'll always be there for her. Good luck.

    4. He just so happens to be in the same places as you very frequently

    5. Compliments you when others don't. You might have a bad hair day, but he won't see it like that.

    6. If you go, he goes, if you stay, he stays.

    7. He will appear to be at loss of words. He knows what he wants to say but can't find words to say it in front of you.

    8. He will give short answers, he doesn't want to seem desperate, or talk to much incase you find him annoying.

    9. He will try to be close to you or might accidently bump you or brush by you.
    erection
    Will try to avoid conversation

May slur when actually making conversation

Will probably get flustered if you touched his hand/arm

    Giggle a little maybe?

A shy guy will usually just try to avoid social confrontation all together, but if you engage in said social interaction with him, you will probably notice these signs, especially if you touched his hand/arm; It's still not undeniable proof that he likes you, but you should have able to pick up on it.

How do I get rid of teenage spots ?

I DON'T have acne! I just get breakouts every once in a while; it's embarrasing. I need to know a quick and easy way to get rid of them. Please Help :DHow do I get rid of teenage spots ?
Exfoliate. Get a good face scrub. And a good moisturizer for afterwards.

If your going cheap I would go with Neutrogena. How do I get rid of teenage spots ?
keeping your face very clean and moisturize every night with a gentle cleanser. Also put a little toothpaste or sudocrem on the spot to help it dry up. Overall just keep clean, drink plenty of water( i think you're meant to have 2 litres of water a day???) and eat healthily. Also use a facemask weekly so open up the pores and get rid of dirt.
Moisturize, and wash your face using a normal soap like PURE (kills something in the skin which causes spots and teens have too many of) and also a plant called bog myrtle (also known as Myrica gale) which has very good de-spotting properties. It mostly sold to teenagers just so you know =P

Boots stock it and are planning to increase the ammount they stock =)

    xx
Go to your local pharmacy and get some Quinoderm cream. I guarantee it will get those break outs under control before they get embarassing.

I use it every other day, i've tried pretty much everything but this is like my magic cream!

    =)

What are some good books for teenage boys that deal with relationships?

Looking for a book in this topicWhat are some good books for teenage boys that deal with relationships?
Ostrich Boys by Keith GrayWhat are some good books for teenage boys that deal with relationships?
    Um, you could try these:

-What I Was by Meg Rosoff

-Forever by Judy Blume (this one is very girly, but I think everyone should read it.)

-Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer (this is not only a girl series! Guys can read it too!)

-When It Happens by Susane Colasanti

-It's Kind of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini

    I hope this helps! =)
